Architectural Engineering Technology

A degree in AET gives you skills and knowledge to design and construct within the built environment, from project conception to completion.

What Does an Architectural ET Do?

An architectural ET uses fundamental principles of design, engineering, and construction.

A few of the possible career paths:

  • Design-to-value any building (architectural designer)
  • Work with a team of professionals within built environment to design, build and manage a project (design-builder)
  • Organize, analyze, and optimize project resources (people, equipment, materials, and sequencing) to meet construction project goals (project manager)


  • Provides the student with a foundation in architectural building design, site design, history of the built environment and architectural programming
  • Computer software used in architecture and construction visualization (BIM)
  • Courses that develop a solid understanding of cost estimating and scheduling
  • 2/3 of the coursework of the degree is shared with the Construction Engineering Technology degree.

Our architectural engineering technology program graduates are currently working as project managers, architectural designers, architects, estimators, field supervisors, and within architectural, engineering and construction companies.


This Architectural Engineering Technology degree is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET.
