Courses You Might Take

ACC 330: Federal Income Tax Accounting

Learn about our tax system and the various items that go into a tax return. Remember tax evasion is illegal, but tax avoidance is legal and can save your clients on their taxes. They will thank you for that!

ACC 407: Government and Not-for-Profit Accounting

Become aware of the differences in accounting used by governmental and not-for-profit entities. You will actually view the financial statements for the United States of America as well as state and local government entities. Choose a favorite not-for-profit and analyze their statements as well.

ACC 409: Auditing

Study the very important attest function of accounting – learn what auditors do when they perform an audit and issue an audit opinion. You’ll also be introduced to consequences of what happens when auditors fail to uncover something (think Enron and WorldCom)!

ACC 401: Advanced Accounting

Conglomerates are the name of the game in big business these days. Learn how relationships among entities impact financial reporting. This course prepares you to combine financial statements of related entities like parent companies and their subsidiaries.
